The tools

The Cespharm provides pharmacists free on request with a selection of documents and educational tools on over forty health topics.

These documents, for the pharmacist or the general public, are edited by the Cespharm or its partners. To provide pharmacists with relevant and up-to-date media, the Cespharm selects practical, educational and consistent with current recommendations documents. Pharmacists may order any of these documents from the catalogue section.

Tools for the public

Posters

Displayed in the window or public area of the pharmacy or in the waiting room of a clinical biology laboratory, Cespharm posters show the pharmacist’s involvement in health issues (national or worldwide campaigns and major themes of public health). The posters serve to raise public awareness and encourage people to discuss health issues with their pharmacist.

Brochures

Invaluable tools for informing and educating the public, brochures are preferably to be handed out individually by the pharmacist to the patients concerned or otherwise left available to the public on the counter or in a display stand.

Tools for pharmacists

Professional documents

These help to inform and update knowledge of pharmacists on various health issues.

Technical sheets

The Cespharm technical sheets are written by experts in the health field concerned. The objective is to update the pharmacist’s knowledge of major health issues and provide them with concrete ways of advising the general public. Published by the Cespharm, the technical sheets are distributed to all pharmacists via the Lettre des Nouvelles Pharmaceutiques (the journal of the French Council of Pharmacists) and then remain available from the Cespharm.

Documentary files

These files consist of articles extracted from scientific and professional journals. They provide complete information on a given health topic and are regularly updated. They are useful to answer a specific question from a patient, to prepare a conference or to act within a network. Documentary files are permanently available on nine major health topics: alcohol, asthma, cancer, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, drugs abuse, nutrition, AIDS and tobacco. Pharmacists can also request files on any other public health issue. These will be produced specifically to meet the pharmacist’s need. Files are produced in collaboration with the documentation center of the French Council of Pharmacists.

Pedagogical tools

The Cespharm provides practical instructional tools to help pharmacists support and educate patients.
