Content
The training covers the role of pharmacists in the prevention, detection, monitoring of patients with diabetes and offers practical workshops on the analysis of orders, teaching the patient to use self-monitoring devices and supporting of diabetic patients.

One half-day

Assessment
Twenty-seven regional training sessions were attended by 1,200 pharmacists between March 1999 and March 2002. The evaluation data highlight the great satisfaction of the pharmacists and the immediate and important benefit of the program on their required knowledge which was maintained for three months.
